Drain Tile
Drain tile systems are installed at the bottom of foundation or retaining walls below the surface. They consist of a network of below ground pipes wrapped in gravel and filter fabric that allow subsurface water to be channeled away without eroding away the soil. Water flowing through these pipes is directed to either a sump pit or discharge location for proper water management. Soil type and water table conditions greatly dictate the design of the drain tile system which is determined by an engineer’s soil report.
